The January to March quarter was significant for EG Industries for a number of reasons. There was no lost time accidents across all plants with Associates keenly focused on executing the fundamentals of the business well namely: Safety, Quality, and Delivery. New business, from both current and new customers, kept the plants busy. The past quarter, however, was particularly exciting due of the numerous noteworthy awards received by the company.
Marion Industries received the Excellence in Delivery Award from American Honda Motor Company. This is an award given annually to suppliers at the top of their respective classification as measured by Honda’s performance index. In addition, for a supplier to receive such an award it must also demonstrate superior quality performance.
EGI’s New Madison facility was honored with the GM Customer Care and Aftersales On-Time Shipping Gold Service Award for playing an important role in General Motors’ efforts to design, build, and sell the world’s best vehicles. The citation in part reads, “Your dedication and commitment to consistently perform above expectations are very much appreciated by the entire General Motors team and we want to recognize your organization for its outstanding performance.”
EGI’s plants in Circleville, New Madison, and Ormond Beach were recipients of the Toyota Certificate of Achievement for Quality Performance. This award is given by Toyota to suppliers that demonstrate exceptional performance levels associated with parts per million that surpass Toyota’s stringent target goals.
“The second quarter was indeed a very busy and exciting time for the company,” said Larry Jutte, President/COO. “Our continued focus on existing business quality and delivery, strengthening critical processes, and the outstanding execution of those processes are essential to building our customer relationships and the continued growth of our company,” he added.
